First, it was our lovely girl IRENA, a great fun of butterflies, who discovered the so called “ Aegean butterfly “ , Astypalaia, the delightful island – bridge between the Dodecanese and the Cyclades islands.

Then, it was this fabulous picture we saw before our own eyes, when we first visited this specific unique privileged location in the Chora of Astypalaia. Above the main port and opposite to the Castle this was the ideal location to have an astonishing view of Chora , Pera Gialos and all the blue the eyes can see.

So impressed, we stayed there until darkness, enjoying and admiring this incredibly magic view of Astypalaia or better to say Astropalia , as the local people like to call their magic island!
